Cold

Mars

Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun and is often called the Red Planet because of its reddish appearance, caused by iron oxide (rust) on its surface. Mars is smaller than Earth and has a thin atmosphere made mostly of carbon dioxide, which makes it cold and unable to support liquid water on the surface today. Average temperatures are around −60°C (−80°F), though they can vary widely.
